Victoria Beckham: Royal Conundrum

There’s a holy matrimony occurring in London on Friday. Perhaps you’ve heard?
David and Victoria Beckham have been lucky enough to land a place on the guest list for the wedding of the century. Speculation over Kate Middleton’s dress has been rampant before she even got engaged, but we’re only concerned with what one lady will be wearing and that is our queen, Victoria.
The old Victoria (torpedo bazookas, fake tan) wore the daring and sexy Giambattista Valli ensemble at left to the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The walls of Westminster Abbey may crash in on themselves if Mrs. Beckham turns up in something like that, so we expect her to be in something much more demure. Victoria is nearing the third trimester of her pregnancy and the bump that little Miss Beckham is providing is becoming harder and harder to conceal and Victoria has never really embraced her pregnancy bumps (previously hid them under billowing sweaters or ponchos). The odds of Victoria not wearing one of her own designs to, potentially, one of the most-watched events in history, are about as good as Prince Harry streaking naked down the aisle during the service (we’re not opposed to this, BTW).
If Victoria goes with one of her ready-to-wear designs, she has a few to choose from. We envision her selecting a gown, but something to show off her amazing legs would not be out of the question either.
Our number one choice is this gorgeous yellow dress with an open back from her Fall 2011 collection. It’s a perfect spring color that we already know Victoria looks gorgeous in. We’re sure a tasteful, custom-made hat or fascinator will sit atop her noggin no matter what she wears.
It’s from her Spring 2011 collection and is pretty enough for the occasion, but won’t upstage the blushing bride (thought we doubt anything will be able to do that save for the above-mentioned streaking situ.)
This blue dress with with mosaic-effect top, which was the finale look in her Fall 2011 collection, would provide a little more room for VB’s blossoming bump. We hope she’d shorten it, though, and the fabric looks a tad heavy and restrictive for a Spring wedding.
No matter what Victoria wears, we know she’ll be in a fab and towering pair of heels.
Which look do you like best for Victoria to wear to the greatest wedding in the history of all weddings? One of the above or another look from her line? Or do you think she’ll surprise us all and wear a custom dress or *gasp* another designer?
VB won’t be the only one wearing her line come Friday. Interior designer (and bridesmaid of Princess Diana) India Hicks has been tapped as a royal wedding correspondent for American network ABC and will be wearing a Victoria Beckham dress.
