Look We Love: Louise Redknapp in Louis Vuitton

We nearly fell off our beanbag chairs this morning when we saw pics of Louise Redknapp at a Japanese Tsunami fundraiser at London’s Nobu last night.

Our shock over her fab outfit was down to, A) It not being black; and B) It not being Stella McCartney. Baby steps, Kickettes. Louise looked as good as ever in a top and skirt from the Spring 2011 Louis Vuitton collection.

We have virtually pleaded with Mrs. Jamie Redknapp to step outside of her black/McCartney comfort zone on more than one occasion. She has taken a giant leap from said comfort zone with this look and we are thrilled. We even like the simple black clutch and heels she chose. Over-the-top accessories would have only overshadowed this bright, fun look.

Not that we need an excuse, but we may break into HQ’s stash of champers early today to celebrate Louise’s triumph. Bottoms up!

PFW Look Of The Day: Miu Miu

While a number of the Fall and Spring 2011 collections were  influenced by the 1970s , Miu Miu looked to a different era. It was all 1940s glamour from the hair clips, to the sunglasses, to the illusion of bobby socks. This Miu Miu model is headed to the roadhouse to neck with the soldiers on leave. And we want to be her. Look at the rest of the gorgeous Miu Miu Fall 2011 collection here. Image via Style.com

PFW Look Of The Day: Yves Saint Laurent

The ’70s influence of the Spring runways was still very much alive at Yves Saint Laurent. The final ten looks were a procession of white dresses – each better than the last – that evoked Studio 54 shiny ball chicness. For us,  we love the high neck on this dress since it still manages to be sexy. Also of note in the YSL collection were the amazing wedges. We would wear these until they were falling off our feet. PFW Look Of The Day: Andrew Gn

We’ve lost track of how many gorgeous gowns have made us swoon during fashion week, but we might have a new favorite. Knife pleats have been all over the runways and we love the liquid metal movement they add to this dress. Gn’s collection makes us long for major red carpet events on the regular. There are many more stunning gowns to be seen – click here to see the rest of Andrew Gn’s Fall 2011 collection. Image via Style.com

PFW Look Of The Day: Azzaro

Azzaro is the go-to line for flirty minidresses with chic Parisian edge and designer Vanessa Seward’s Fall 2011 line is full of them. We are besotted with this charming little ruffle dress. We only wish it were a smidge longer so twirling wouldn’t come with an exposure risk. Victoria Beckham would look amaze in this, no? Have a look at Azzaro’s Fall 2011 collection here. PFW Look OF The Day: Zac Posen

Perhaps we’re still in the midst of an Oscar gown hangover, but this beautiful Zac Posen gown shown at Paris Fashion Week yesterday would have slotted in perfectly during last Sunday’s Academy Awards festivities. (Especially on someone whose gown we weren’t too crazy about.) It’s Posen’s  second consecutive season in Paris and we’re a bit underwhelmed by his collection. It was without the usual feathers, flourishes and old glamour vibe that has become his trademark. Do make your own judgment by checking out the rest of his Fall 2011 collection here. MFW Look Of The Day: Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci is historically known for swirling, colorful prints. When designer Peter Dundas was hired in 2009, he immediately injected a youthful hippie-chic aesthetic that is now on everyone’s red carpet must have list. We love how this dress incorporated the classic Pucci colors with sexy lace and a modern silhouette. See the rest of the Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 collection here. Image via Style.com

MFW Look Of The Day: Gucci

Gucci kicked off Milan Fashion week with a thundering shot to the top corner of the net. The 1970s influence is still going to be very much alive for the Fall Gucci girl as designer Frida Giannini presented wide-leg trousers, neck-high blouses and long coats with fur collars in blues, greens, and purples.

What we loved most, however (and we might be able to blame this on our Oscar fever), were the gowns. They were chiffon, sheer, flowing and sexy. We love the color combination on the gown above and with a few more layers of chiffon on the skirt, this would be red carpet ready by Sunday night’s awards. Call us, Nicole Kidman; this dress is for you.
