Our fashion-related obsession with Winonah de Jong continues to grow now that her blog for Life After Football is up and running. Full disclosure: we’re not really bothering to run it through Google translate because we really just want to see what she’s wearing.
Winonah has proven a master at incorporating orange (the color of The Netherlands’ NT, natch) into her Euro 2012 looks. For the Oranje’s first match against Denmark, she wore an orange printed Gucci top similar to the one here, Victoria Beckham jeans, Gucci flip flops and the obligatory orange Hermés Birkin and Goyard bags.
It’s a perfect WAG look, is it not?
We also love the subtle orange in her Giambattista Valli jacket here. The jacket is… interesting, but we commend her dedication to keeping it patriotic.
The Dutch got off to a tough start, but we do hope their situ improves. We need more Winonah.

Kickettes, we’re in love with a dress and we don’t care who knows it.
Above is the flawless Helen Svedin with her equally flawless husband candy Luis Figo. The two attended the IWC Top Gun Gala Event at the 22nd High Jewellery Fair in Geneva, Switzerland last night. We would like you to direct your attention to Helen’s dress because we think it’s perfection, must like the rest of the Gucci Resort 2012 collection.
A beigey nude color can be hard for someone with fair skin to pull off, but this works a treat on her. The little peekaboo of chartreuse at the hem is a delightful surprise and will be a very popular color this spring.
You may remember that Nagore Aramburu wore a look from the same collection back in October. Which dress do you prefer? And do you think Helen looks as perfect as we do?

Now this is more like it.
Last night Sylvie van der Vaart attended the Goldene Henne broadcasting awards in Berlin, Germany wearing a look from Gucci’s Fall 2011 collection. She paired it with a Gucci clutch, green satin heels, and a long blond ponytail.
We think she looks absolutely gorgeous in this. We love this Gucci collection and we’re so happy to see a WAG in one of the looks! It’s sexy in all the right places and we love her hair extensions, even if they were only for this night.
Our only bone to pick is with the shoes. There was no need for them to be so matchy-matchy. If she was intent on a green heel, Gucci’s runway shoes would have been a much better choice. But carry on, Sylvie! You’re looking fab lately.
Isn’t it refreshing is it to see a WAG out shopping in jeans and trainers as opposed to platform heels and a skin tight anything?
Helena Seger has always marched to the beat of her own WAG drummer and for that we lurve her. The other half of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was out in Milan today sporting a fab casual look. DSquared2′s biggest fan worked the shops in a pair of the line’s super low-slung denim and carried a Louis Vuitton cross-body bag from their Spring 2010 line. What excites us most, however, are her Gucci high-tops. Gucci high-tops! That’s how she rolls, Kickettes. Don’t mess.
Gucci kicked off Milan Fashion week with a thundering shot to the top corner of the net. The 1970s influence is still going to be very much alive for the Fall Gucci girl as designer Frida Giannini presented wide-leg trousers, neck-high blouses and long coats with fur collars in blues, greens, and purples.
What we loved most, however (and we might be able to blame this on our Oscar fever), were the gowns. They were chiffon, sheer, flowing and sexy. We love the color combination on the gown above and with a few more layers of chiffon on the skirt, this would be red carpet ready by Sunday night’s awards. Call us, Nicole Kidman; this dress is for you.
