LFW: Second Half Hits

We’re a few days late and more than a few dollars short with our London Fashion Week wrap up, but there were some fab collections that we must share our opinions on.
As always, Christopher Bailey sent an amazing collection down the runway for Burberry Prorsum. The Burberry girl is going to be very colorful this spring and we couldn’t be happier about it. In addition to the line’s iconic trench coats, which Bailey always finds a way to spice up, the Spring 2012 collection was a plethora of t-shirts, midi skirts, and gathered dresses. It sounds simple, but Bailey was sure to incorporate handwork like beading, crocheting, weaving, and printing into almost every look, including the shoes and bags. How insane are these wedges? We’re getting on a wait list for them yesterday.
The rest of our favorite looks from LFW are right this way.
Roksanda Ilincic had one of our favorite collections for Fall and we’re happy to say she’s kept the streak alive with her Spring offering.
Our new favorite mustard yellow color made several appearances and our favorite incarnation of it was in this blouse with an exagerated bell sleeve. She paired it with a shimery gray pencil skirt (we think – our fashion Spidey sense isn’t telling us if this is a dress or not) and simple heels.
The dress code at Kickette HQ is “anything goes” but for the days we want to feel like grown up ladies, we’d definitely go this way. Obviously we’ll change before happy hour.

The line can call Coleen Rooney a fan and we always look forward to seeing how they’ve worked thier print magic. For Spring the designers took inspiration from Indonesia and their take on tropical prints was different and refreshing.
We love the full skirt on this dress and how the contrasting prints still compliment each other. And can we talk about the shoes? LFW has the best shoes of any fashion city hands down.

Can trousers be sexy? We think so. We love this cropped pair with a drapey little tank and belt. It’s another prime candidate for “Dress Like You Mean It” day at Kickette HQ.

Did you enjoy London Fashion Week as much as we did?
