Christian Louboutin Daffodil: Yay Or Nay?
The gorgeous and amazingly coiffed Frankie Sandford (with a camera shy Wayne Bridge) leaves London’s Wellington Club last Saturday night sporting the Loubs of the moment. We hope Bridgey brought a step ladder.
We are often emotionally, physically, and financially moved by shoes here at Kickette HQ. Most of the time, we shed tears as we decide between spending our precious dough on exclusive shots of short tents or the new YSLs that caused a puddle of drool to form on our desks. Short tents always win.
The Christian Louboutin Daffodil heels stormed onto the fashion scene a few weeks ago and Victoria Beckham, Claudine Keane, and Frankie have all been spotted in them thus far. You know that Alex Gerrard and Coleen Rooney already have theirs on reserve at Cricket so as not to feel left out. (Image via Netaporter.com)
These beauties boast a 6.5 inch heel with a 2.5 in concealed platform. That is Peter Crouch-sized enormous. Hence, we have to ask: how high is too high? We can’t help but think that these are just a little too much. Heels and platforms of this height are usually reserved for drag queens, cartoons and/or ladies of ill fame.
So, Kickettes, tell us what you think: does the superior craftsmanship and investment status that accompany a Louboutin shoe trump this comical heel height? Or are these completely ridiculous and simply playing on reputation? That red sole does crazy things to a girl’s head, ya heard?
